WENN retracted the account and issued a correction and an apology, merely no media published it, leaving the libel "at large", according to Atkins.
She said the undisclosed compensation WENN had agreed to give would be donated to an unnamed charity. It besides will meet Smith's legal costs.
Lav Melville Smith, defending WENN, said his customer apologised for the history, which they nowadays admitted was wrong.
He said: "(WENN) offers its apologies to (Smith) for any distress and embarrassment caused by this article."
"(It) accepts that the allegations concerning (him) were misleading and published in misplay."

According to rap music manufacturer Jermaine Dupri, the 'ABC' stars will play a greatest hits set at his Studio 72 club to mark Dupri's involution to Janet Helen Maria Fiske Hunt Jackson.
Michael Jackson and his quaternary brothers will be flown into Atlanta by helicopter for the do, claims Dupri.

Icelandic vocalist Bjork has allegedly attacked a photographer at Auckland International Drome.
According to reports, the singer ripped photographer John Glenn Jeffrey's shirt in one-half after he ignored a request to stop consonant taking pictures of the singer.
Jeffrey told the Fresh Sjaelland Herlad: "I took a couple of pictures and I got around three or four frames of her... and as I turned and walked away she came up in arrears me, grabbed the punt of my black skivvy (sweatshirt) and torus it down the plunk for."
"As she did this she hide over, she fell to the ground. At no stage did I touch her or speak with her."
The newspaper's web site has reported that neither the newsprint nor Jeffrey mean to register charges against the singer.
A voice for Auckland Police force said that the alleged incident was not beingness investigated.
